OAKLAND – (October 11) – Local Food Adventures will be donating 25% of all profits made from all tours booked and gift cards purchased now through Sunday, October 15 to F.I.S.H. of Santa Rosa, a local food bank located in the epicenter of this week’s wildfires.
“Ever since our first tour we have donated back to the community,” Lauren McCabe Herpich, owner of Local Food Adventures, says. “It’s important that we help our neighbors in need during this very devastating time. We just need to try to help any way that we can.”
F.I.S.H. (Friends in Service Here) of Santa Rosa is a group of volunteers who operate a food pantry where people can receive free food. Started in 1972, F.I.S.H. has grown to become the largest independent food pantry in the Redwood Empire. In fact, F.I.S.H. served 60,000 people in 2016.
Tours do not have to be taken by Sunday, October 15; just need to be booked. For example, one could book a tour for February 2018 by the end of this weekend and the profits will still be donated to F.I.S.H. of Santa Rosa.
