It’s been a while. I’m sorry that I missed sending out a newsletter in April. It was one heck of a month!
Family fun kept us away at the beginning as my youngest sister got married to her long-time boyfriend at a beautiful destination wedding in Key Largo, Florida. It was a great excuse to get to the beach and spend a fun week with family. We definitely did our fare share of eating (and drinking), including a fantastic food tour with Key West Food Tours. I would highly recommend their Southernmost Food Tour and the delicious key lime pie from Blue Heaven. Delish!
Upon returning, it was full speed ahead as Local Food Adventures had its best month ever! Not only did we get to provide a unique food tasting and history event with Town Hall Theatre in Lafayette, but also a number of awesome private tours, including one with the culinary arts students from Cosumnes Oaks High School in Elk Grove, CA (yes, they drove nearly two hours to take a special Rockridge Neighborhood Heritage Food Tour ). In fact, this was the third year that they’ve done this tour!
So it’s had me thinking of more ways that we can keep the fun going. Of course our Rockridge Ice Cream & Gelato Tours are starting up in June with two new awesome tour guides joining the team. (Welcome, Jennika and Mar!) That being said we’ll also have a special Father’s Day Ice Cream & Gelato Tour on Sunday, June 17. See more details below.
We’ve also set up automatic online booking for private tours. I know you’re busy so it’s my way of being able to make it easy to get your group together and have food fun faster.
I hope you can join us during this beautiful time of the year. It’s going to be a great summer!
