Welcome to Rockridge!

Local Food Adventures • May 04, 2014

The ROCKRIDGE NEIGHBORHOOD WALKING FOOD TOUR (Rockridge Food Tour) is a three-hour guided tour that takes locals and visitors through Oakland’s neighborhood of Rockridge to learn more about the area’s history, present-day excitement and taste its growing food culture.

Started in 2014, the Rockridge Food Tour is brought to you by an actual Rockridge resident who wants to share the food and cultural urban village experience that only the neighborhood of Rockridge has to offer. From a top-rated morning bun to the first flavor to revolutionize the ice cream world to the most authentic example of Chicago stuffed pizza outside of the Windy City, the Rockridge Food Tour brings you a sample of foods that would make up any East Bay foodie’s perfect eating day.

The Rockridge Food Tour offers not only an opportunity for guests and vacationers to discover one of the Bay Area’s hidden neighborhood gems, but also for local residents to learn more about the history of the area in which they call home. In addition to the public tour, Rockridge Food Tour also offers  Private Group Tours  and Gift Certificates which make the perfect present for an East Bay newbie, lifelong resident or visitor.

Guests of the Rockridge Food Tour have the opportunity to sample some of Oakland’s best foods as well as learn about the history, culture, architecture and happenings of our European-inspired oasis. Our goal is for everyone, both locals and guests, to be able to better enjoy one of the Bay Area’s best kept secrets.

Let Rockridge Food Tour help you discover your local yummy!

Moms are superheroes who deserve to be celebrated every year—but especially this year, as they have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. According to CBS News , women lost one million more jobs than men during the pandemic, and the year also highlighted the lack of affordable childcare options. Mother’s Day, which falls on Sunday, May 9th this year, couldn’t be a better day to celebrate your mom and give her a special gift to make sure she knows how much you cherish her.
